Reception - Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

In our Reception class, we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children begin their school journey through play-based, hands-on learning. Our continuous provision - both indoors and in our large, well-equipped outdoor space - allows children to explore, discover, and develop independence at their own pace. Learning is carefully planned around the 17 Early Learning Goals, supporting key areas of development such as communication, physical skills, literacy, maths, and personal, social, and emotional growth. We promote healthy choices through daily snack time, where children learn about nutrition and the importance of a balanced diet. Our exciting Drawing Club writing programme encourages creativity and early literacy, helping children to build vocabulary and confidence in storytelling and mark-making. Every day is designed to spark curiosity, build strong foundations, and foster a love of learning.
