At our school, we follow the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised programme to teach phonics and early reading. This is a systematic, synthetic phonics programme that is designed to help all children learn to read with confidence. Through daily phonics lessons, children learn to recognise letter sounds, blend them to read words, and segment words to spell. Alongside phonics, children take part in group reading sessions where they practise fluency, expression, and comprehension skills.
