How are you getting on with completing your Walktober activities?

There are so many activities to choose from on our Walktober Activities List!

For example:

·        Swap a car journey - instead of taking the car try a more active/sustainable way of travelling on the school journey or in your leisure time, (number 3),

·        If you have to take the car, lift share with a friend, (number 4),

·        Take a trip on public transport and learn how to read a timetable, (number 29),

·        Practice scooting and bike skills, (number 24/28),

·        Make a poster showing why switching engines off is better for the environment and our health, (number 10)……

Car Seat Smarter
15/10/2024 12:36 PM
The Road Safety Team are responsible for educating young people and their families on the importance of keeping safe when travelling in a vehicle. Part of this education includes ensuring young people are travelling with correct restraints. Are you aware that 37% of children are in the wrong type of seat for their age and/or height?

The Road Safety Team would like to share this car restraint leaflet with you to ensure you know how to always keep your child(ren) safe – in the correct restraint. There are also hints and tips about choosing the right seat, transporting other people’s children and how to fit different types of car seat.
